Soft Skills Training for Daimler Buses

In international sales, product knowledge alone isn’t enough – what matters most is how this knowledge is effectively applied in customer conversations. That’s why Daimler Buses invests in soft skills training during the onboarding process for new bus salespeople, with Formation4You as a partner: a practical training and development format!

Two Plants, One Goal

The first part of the soft skills training took place in November 2024 at the Mannheim plant. Now, in spring 2025, the second part followed at the EvoBus facility in Neu-Ulm. Participants included new sales hires from across Europe for brands like Mercedes-Benz, Setra, and EvoBus.

Soft Skills That Connect – Beyond Language Barriers

Mercedes developed a modular training concept – Formation4You ensured its tailored implementation:

The first part focused on needs assessment – the art of translating product features into real customer benefits.

The second part covered negotiation, objection handling, and closing – with proven methods like the Everest Model.

Especially exciting: the multilingual approach.

While presentations ran visually in parallel in German and English, professional simultaneous interpretation (via interpreter booths and headsets) ensured active inclusion of English-speaking participants.

A Forward-Looking Format

Registrations are already open for the next sessions of Daimler Buses’ international sales onboarding. One thing is clear: successful selling isn’t just about a good product – it’s about mindset, communication, and collaboration.

If you’re interested in a customized training program with Formation4You, we’d love to hear from you.
