Key competencies for managers in the search and selection of personnel

It goes without saying that the key resource of a successful company is its employees. Therefore, making the optimum choice when recruiting personnel is of considerable importance. Hubert Ortner discussed the decision-making criteria that play an important role in the search for personnel, as well as strategies for recognizing the potential of applicants and the right questions to ask during interviews. After all, the prudent selection of personnel to only takes the professional skills off the employees into account, but also their character and soft skills.

Success through optimum employee management

The success of a company depends on the ability of the manager to lead his or her employees. In this part of the workshop, the participants addressed the topics of self-motivation and external motivation, how the behavior of employees can be influenced, and how employee discussions can be conducted correctly so as to achieve shared goals. As always, Hubert Ortner incorporated practical exercises, such as a fictitious appraisal interview, which served to consolidate  the content of the workshop and went down very well amongst the participants.
