Following the successful Fleet Academy 2021 and its evaluation in the first half of 2024, coaching sessions focussing on e-mobility were launched in the Hyundai network in October. The clear objective was to increase sales of electric vehicles directly at local dealerships. In just two half-days, widespread myths about electric mobility are addressed and debunked. These practical sessions give salespeople the tools to inform and advise customers effectively. <\/p>\n
Dispelling the myths of electric mobility<\/strong><\/p>\n Myth 1: Electric cars have too short a range Myth 2: Electric cars are too expensive Myth 3: Charging takes far too long<\/em><\/strong> Myth 4: There are not enough charging options<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Many believe that there are too few charging stations. However, the number of public charging stations is growing steadily and more and more people are charging their electric car at home or work. There are now more than 600,000 charging stations in Europe, which \u2018override\u2019 this myth, so to speak. <\/p>\n Myth 5: Electric cars are not more environmentally friendly<\/em><\/strong> [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_column _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” type=”4_4″ theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n The training courses pursue the overarching goal of providing salespeople not only with factual knowledge but also with the right arguments to explain the advantages of electric mobility to potential buyers. A well-informed salesperson can dispel uncertainties and help the customer make a satisfactory purchase decision by dispelling preconceptions. <\/p>\n In the Hyundai network, this is a central measure to strengthen the brand message and at the same time profit from sales potential in the ever-growing electric mobility segment. Hyundai relies on the continuous training of its employees and thus reacts flexibly to the challenges of a rapidly changing market. <\/p>\n
<\/em><\/strong>This myth persists but is now outdated. Thanks to technological advances, many modern electric vehicles have a range of over 400 kilometres, which is more than enough for most daily journeys. Hyundai has proven with models such as the IONIQ5 and IONIQ6 that electric cars are reliable even over long distances. In addition, more and more charging stations are available, making longer journeys possible without any problems. <\/p>\n
<\/em><\/strong>While the entry-level price of electric vehicles is often higher than that of petrol cars, the running costs are significantly lower. Electric cars require less maintenance, electricity costs are cheaper than fuel, and depending on the country\/canton\/state, some subsidies further reduce the purchase price. Hyundai offers attractive financing models that make the transition to electric mobility affordable. <\/p>\n
Modern fast charging stations can charge the battery to 80% in less than 30 minutes. With the expansion of the charging infrastructure, \u2018overnight charging\u2019 or charging during working hours is no longer an obstacle. Hyundai vehicles support fast and easy charging, therefore long-distance charging can be done in a very short time. <\/p>\n
It is often argued that battery production and the electricity mix make electric cars less environmentally friendly. However, studies show that electric vehicles emit significantly less CO\u2082 over their entire life cycle than combustion engines.
